GOVERNMENT
Ghana has a Constitutional Democracy, a government that enforces recognized limits on those who govern and allows the voice of the people to be heard through free, fair, and relatively frequent elections. The Government of Ghana was created as a parliamentary democracy, followed by alternating military and civilian governments. In January 1993, military government gave way to the Fourth Republic after presidential and parliamentary elections in late 1992.
Ghanas GDP is 1,858.24 USD (2013) Ghanas currency is called "cedi" which means cowry shell (sea snail)
